At ICMA-RC maintaining the privacy and security of your personal information is a top priority. Our privacy policy applies equally to our current and former investors, as well as individuals who simply inquire about the services or investments we offer. We continuously review our privacy practices to ensure policies are in place to effectively guard individual privacy information and update those policies as necessary.
Recent events have reminded us all of the importance of our personal data. At ICMA-RC we take extra precautions to ensure that your financial data will remain safe with us. Among the many precautions we take are the following:
Security Procedures for Representatives in the Field
From time to time our representatives may download your information to their laptops for meetings with you and your plan sponsor. Again, we at ICMA-RC take every precaution possible to ensure that this data remains secure. Each laptop is individually password protected. The hard drives on the laptop are fully encrypted and secured using authentication software and strong encryption algorithms. All downloaded and stored participant data is also separately encrypted for multiple layers of protection. Access to the application that provides the interface to that data requires entirely separate authentication making all access points to the data secure.

We protect the integrity and privacy of your account information with the most advanced technologies available. Our systems use Internet data encryption technology, known as the Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) protocol, personalized passwords, and other precautions to safe guard your data while you use our online services. To add an additional level of security, our services are tested and certified regularly by third party security experts to assist us in offering you the most secure services possible.
Security within our Headquarters
The handling of your data at our corporate headquarters is carefully controlled. The number of employees that are permitted access to private data is limited to only those with a specific requirement for access. Corporate-wide shredding policies are carefully followed to ensure that printed copies of private information are disposed of properly when no longer needed. Additionally, employees of ICMA-RC are licensed according to industry practices and all employees are trained in the proper handling of private information.
